With a Master’s in Human Development, Maria combines research-backed strategy with heart-led leadership. She is also proudly bilingual and passionate about creating inclusive spaces that reflect Australia’s rich diversity.

Position Overview:
Maria leads the design, delivery, and evaluation of Language Exchange Australia’s strategic programs aimed at empowering culturally and linguistically diverse communities. With a deep background in education, human development, and government operations, she works across partnerships, community initiatives, and internal teams to ensure every project delivers real, measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Strategy & Delivery: Design and scale community-based language and integration programs
  • Stakeholder Partnerships: Develop collaborations with local councils, employers, and multicultural services
  • Impact & Evaluation: Create outcome frameworks and measure social, cultural, and educational impact
  • Grants & Reporting: Lead funding proposals, reporting, and compliance with public sector and NGO expectations
  • Team Mentorship: Train and mentor program facilitators, cultural liaisons, and community volunteers
  • Representation: Act as a key voice for the organisation in public forums, media, and community events
